I was introduced to Uniform by a friend a few months ago, and it was instantly clear it was a label after my own heart. Built on the idea of having an ‘everyday uniform’; the label offers classic separates and dresses in silhouettes that never go out of style. The kind of pieces you live in, mould to the shape of your body and wear day after day. Silk shirts, leather everything (shorts, pinafore, cap) and pretty dresses in a colour palette of black, white and maroon. The clothes are completely stripped back; no fussy details, only careful tailoring and beautiful fabrics. It’s a minimalists dream.
So I met up with the Uniform team not long after they had received their first set of samples (but already a Vogue feature under their belt) to take a few shots. Against a raw backdrop with natural sunlight, it was the perfect setting to showcase their first collection. No doubt destined for big things, Uniform drops into stores this month.
